OUR STORY
Enactus is an international non-profit organization in 36 countries around the world and has over 70,000 students as active members. Enactus brings together a diverse network of university students, academic professionals and industry leaders around the shared mission of achieving the global sustainable development goals for the greater good.
We, at Enactus, endeavor to tap into the entrepreneurial spirit that lives within each of us and channel our unique talents, passions and ideas we possess to take actions which create a better, more sustainable world for us all.
Our journey started in October 2014, when our college with 9 student members collaborated with Enactus and formed Enactus CVS. With the motto of 'We rise by lifting others' and the zeal to bring significant change in our society, our team has worked on 4 successful projects. Through our innovation, integrity, passion and collaborations, we endeavour to disrupt the endless cycle of poverty and misery and uplift communities for a brighter tomorrow.
Currently, we are a team of 24 young business enthusiasts who are helping the people in need with an aim to make them self sustainable. Our functioning is quite simple – we use simple and economical concepts to create business models which solve social, economical and ecological problems and create value for all.
While working with our beneficiaries, we have learned about different aspects of their lives. We strongly believe that our communities have much more to offer to us than what we offer to them. This journey has brought all of us closer and also enabled us to sensitize with the community together, thereby transforming us into a beautiful family and adding to the pleasant experience of working for the community with both compassion and empathy. We hope to work with the same enthusiasm in the future and use our skills to create an impact.

Project Raah aims at refurbishing discarded footwear with the expertise of road-side ‘Mochi’ to render a pair to the destitute at an affordable price, advancing maximum utilization of the scarce resources and granting enhanced revenue prospects to the neglected community of shoe-menders.
Raah endeavors to improve the socio-economic situation of the cobbler community by transforming them into self-sufficient entrepreneurs.

Project Abyaan is an initiative to utilise the full potential of Goat milk and Used cooking oil. Addressing two major concerns- disposal of used cooking oil and inadequate sanitation and hygiene. It is directed towards imparting
entrepreneurial skills to our impoverished community, equipping them with skills and knowledge for producing soaps and retailing them in rural and urban markets generating a secured source of sustenance.
It is a joint venture of Enactus, College of Vocational Studies and Enactus, SGTB Khalsa under our initiative Encare which began in April 2020. It's formation was compelled by the need to address single-use plastic waste. With the help of handloom and tailoring communities, plarn fabric is created with the help of a spinning wheel. The plastic yarns are then interlocked to make fabric using the traditional handloom. Products like laptop sleeves, handbags, pouches, and planters can then be made from the fabric.
